Jesse said he was with a group of 4 men most of the way and felt comfortable until the last mile.  This is his second half marathon PR in a few months.  He ran 1:06:44 in the fall on a course that had a great deal of downhill, so to come back with a big PR at the National Championships is very impressive.  Going into the race it was hard to tell Jesse's fitness level because of the weather and it is hard to duplicate standard workouts from his Chicago buildup.  Most impressively, I had a phone call 1 hour and 17 minutes after the gun reporting his results.  Great job Jesse!  Boston is his next goal race.
